We welcome parental involvement

Parents and families are an integral part of Kayo International. You can feel free to drop by at any time. If you want to see what your child is doing, you can watch a monitor in our office to see uninterrupted activity. We also sponsor family-centered activities on our campus throughout the year, like luncheons, parties, and plays.

Family Events

Throughout the year, Kayo hosts several family events at each of our locations. These events provide an opportunity to socialize and they create a sense of community among our families. These events have included:
New Year’s Celebration
Mother’s Day Tea Party
Father’s Day Luncheon
Preschool Graduation
Children’s day Party and it goes on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Communication with Parents

Kayo uses electronic media to provide you with state of the art communications. Our classrooms use a program which enables teachers to create daily reports and photographs for every child.

 Parent – Teacher – Connect

We ensure that we are always readily available for all questions that u have in regards to your child. Be it his/her day at school or their funny moments or their mischievous smile or their intelligent interaction or be it anything for that matter. We are also happy to discuss at specific requests in regards to your child at any time that is mutually convenient.
We will;

Keep you up to date with their daily routines and share information using the school management application or talk to you directly. We welcome participation and initiative in this from you as well.
Offer regular review meetings to talk about how your child has settled in, share any issues of concerns, discuss any changes to requirements, routines, etc. (e.g. Weaning, potty training)
Ensure our activity curriculum and any changes to policies and procedures are highlighted to parents through the relevant medium.
Aim to create a playschool environment that encourages parents to become involved

We don’t ask u parents “how unique your child is but we tell u how they are unique”

Assessing the children:
Observing the children
Talking with them about their learning
Designing assessment tasks/activities at the end of an area of learning

For children to:

Have access to a differentiated curriculum which supports and extends their individual needs and interests
Make progress and achieve their full potential
Feel valued as individuals whose achievements, needs and interests are known and respected
Be offered new challenges

For staff to:

Promote effective teaching and learning by increasing nderstanding of children’s interests, development and characteristics as a learner
Plan a differentiated curriculum. Allow opportunities for reflective practice in order to address gaps in learning and ensure progress
Identify children’s specific needs including those of special educational needs, as defined in the Code of Practice and the needs of our more able children, children with low well-being, by providing activities specific to that child.
Listen to and respect parents / carers knowledge of their child as the child’s first and continuing educators.

Class size will be mostly restricted to 10 students for toddlers and 15 for Nursery and above years.
